Yesterday I went to see Trixie Whitley, the daughter
of the in 2005 pasted away musician Chris Whitely. This young girl - only 22 - is half
Belgium, half American and until 6 months ago working in restaurants in
Belgium. Now she plays for sold-out shows in Belgium and will tour around
the world with Black Dub.
She plays guitar, piano and drums. She sounds like Joss Stone and Anouk. I
expect to hear much more from her in the future!!
Check her out on her website, myspace ro doe a search on youtube.

Kyteman's Hiphop Orkest in concert
On the 11th of December, 2009 I saw Kyteman's Hiphop Orkest in the Heineken Music Hall. A great concert after a turbelent year for Colin Benders a.k.a. Kyteman.
You can now also experience how it must have felt to wittness one of these shows here
Here you find a live registration of the action Kyteman's Hiphop Orkest from a concert at the Oosterpoort in Groningen. Colin Benders a.k.a. Kyteman performs with his 24-piece orchestra and brings an exciting mix of (big band) jazz, hiphop, reggae, pop, Balkan beats and even classical. Debut album The Hermit Sessions turned gold after half a year after the release and the single Sorry scored high on the single ranking.
